World Economic Forum

The world looks to Davos
On the 40th times more than 2,500 leaders from business, politics, society and art to the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) have met in Davos. About 250 presidents, prime ministers, ministers and top representatives of international organizations like UN, WTO and World Bank maintained in the convention center and in Davos an intensive exchange with 1600 top managers of multinational corporations, leading or particularly innovative pioneer companies, with some 250 Nobel laureates, scientists and professors of major universities and more than 200 editors in chief of the world press. Also present outstanding artists, leaders of major unions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are. The participants discussed the global developments and problems of the world community as well as possible solutions, defined in a global agenda. Through the eyes of the numerous television stations, cameras and many reporters, the world looked to Davos in Switzerland.
